Since the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers' draft preparations, their primary focus has been on this year's deep pool of defensive tackle talent. However, in recent weeks, many analysts have speculated that the team might select either a wide receiver or even a quarterback in the first round.

In the third iteration of his 2025 mock draft, renowned analyst and sports commentator Lance Zierlein introduces an intriguing twist regarding the Steelers' pick. Instead of retaining the 21st overall selection, Zierlein predicts the team will trade down with the Los Angeles Rams to the 26th overall pick, where they will select Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.

"Earlier in the pre-draft process, an NFC executive told me that Harmon "plays like a Raven or a Steeler." Well here we are, and the Steelers still need defensive line help after moving back in this mock."

Harmon has remained on the Steelers' radar following his impressive performance at this year's NFL Combine, during which he had a formal meeting with the team. However, since then, there have been no further interactions between the Steelers and Harmon.

At Oregon's Pro Day last month, the Steelers had minimal representation, with area scout Kelvin Fisher being their only attendee.

With Draft Day just over three weeks away, the Steelers may consider hosting Harmon for a pre-draft visit, which could reignite their interest in him. During his collegiate career, spanning both the University of Oregon and Michigan State, Harmon recorded 116 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, and six pass deflections across 42 games.
