For the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, upgrading their secondary will undoubtedly be a priority.

The upcoming draft class offers some intriguing options at the defensive back position. In this latest mock draft for CBS Sports, one analyst has the team selecting a player not seen this past October.

In his most recent mock draft, NFL analyst Chris Trapasso has the Steelers picking Notre Dame cornerback Benjamin Morrison with the 21st overall pick. Before his season-ending hip injury, Morrison was one of the nation's top defenders and a projected first-round pick in the upcoming draft. Trapasso noted him as the ideal complement to Joey Porter Jr.

"Benjamin Morrison is simply too sudden for the Steelers to pass on him here. He'll be an instant starter in Pittsburgh alongside Joey Porter Jr."

In 31 career games with the Fighting Irish, Morrison recorded 84 tackles, nine interceptions, one defensive touchdown, and 18 passes defended. In 2022, Morrison was named a Freshman All-American after registering a team-high six interceptions and four pass breakups.
