Montravius Adams Ranked At The Top In Run-Stop Win Rate

Steelers defensive lineman Montravius Adams has unexpectedly taken the No. 1 spot as a run stopper.

In ESPN's NFL 'pass rush, run stop, blocking win rate' ranking, the veteran lineman is currently tied for 1st place among defensive tackles in run-stop win rate at 48% on 27 run plays.

In their Week 2 win against the Cleveland Browns on Monday night, Adams recorded a forced fumble and three tackles, including half-a-run stuff. Though he has had his issues winning one-on-one battles this season, Adams' win-rate numbers suggest he has won more often than expected.

Adams signed with the Steelers from the Saints practice squad on November 30, 2021. Since that time, Adams has played 538 defensive snaps and registered 39 tackles, two tackles for loss, and six quarterback pressures.
