James Daniels' Days With The Steelers Could Be Numbered

The upcoming season could mark the last time fans see veteran James Daniels in a Steelers uniform.

In his latest report for Steelersnow.com, analyst Alan Saunders confirmed through Daniels himself that this offseason would see no talks of a contract extension between him and the team as he enters the final year of his contract.

Saunders report may provide more insight into their decision to draft Mason McCormick in this year's NFL Draft. McCormick would probably take Daniels' starting right guard spot the following season.

Daniels has been one of the most reliable free agents signed by the organization in recent years. Since joining the team in 2022, Daniels has started 32 games at right guard. Daniels has played 2,104 pass-blocking snaps throughout that time, allowing only one sack while incurring eight penalties.
