Fautanu and Wilson Return To Action

With the Steelers 53-man roster set, the team is in preparation mode for their Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

During the process, the team received some good news with the return of youngsters Troy Fautanu and Roman Wilson, who participated in today's practice, according to Penn Live analyst Nick Farabauagh's Twitter posts.

Fautanu sustained a minor MCL sprain in his first and only preseason game against the Houston Texans on August 9th. Despite struggling in pass protection, specifically against All-pro linebacker Danielle Hunter, Fautanu displayed his mobility and physicality on outside zone runs. Though his status as a starter tackle is in doubt, news of veteran guard Isaac Seumalo's injury could open the door for him taking snaps at guard, allowing them to make use of his versatility.

Wilson has been inactive since sustaining an ankle injury during training camp on July 30th. With the receiver depth on the team still an issue, his return could not have come at a better time, as the team will not be adding any receivers through waivers. Considering that not much progress has been made with prized receiver Brandon Aiyuk, the team will likely go into Week 1 with the group currently on the roster.
