Pittsburgh Steelers' All-Pro kicker Chris Boswell holds the No. 1 spot, and it's not even close.
NFL writer Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports released his list of the top kickers for this year's NFL playoffs, and to no one's surprise, Boswell was the only kicker listed in his Tier 1 section, and for good reason:
"Boswell not only deserves the title of best kicker in the playoffs, but perhaps best kicker in the NFL. He led the league in field goals and field goal percentage, and that 93.2% was the best by a player who kicked at least 40 field goals in a season since 2017. Boswell was excellent from deep and even better from short: His only miss inside 50 yards was blocked, and he didn't miss a single extra point. Boswell has kicked through the elements and big games. He's never missed in the playoffs. This is an easy pick."
To say the least, Boswell had a historic 2024 season. He completed 41 out of 44 field goals (only three behind David Akers' single-season record) and was 87% on field goals from 50+ yards (13 out of 15). On two different occasions this season, he accounted for all of the Steelers' points in a game: Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons and Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, whom they'll be facing this upcoming Saturday in their Wild Card matchup.
In his playoff career, Boswell is 17 for 17 on field goals and 17 for 19 on extra points.
