Prototypical NFL build for the position
High-level athlete
Decent long speed and acceleration
Strong, reliable hands
Excellent contact balance
Great patience and vision for identifying gaps

Explosive when running through gaps

Reliable receiving hands for screen passes
Weaknesses:
Hampton lacks the hip fluidity to be more elusive, making him more susceptible to taking hits either during the handoff or in the open field. Additionally, Hampton has a tendency to stand too upright, making it easier for opposing defenders to target him.
In general, he does not possess a wide variety of open field moves to make defenders miss. If his initial move doesn’t work, he doesn’t have another to fall back on. Hampton’s pass protection needs a lot of work. Though he is willing to perform the task, aspects such as pad level and hand placement are significant issues.
