Weaknesses:
With an assortment of high-end tools as a cornerback, his lack of production is a cause for concern. In his three years with the Seminoles, Thomas only registered three career interceptions, though his number of pass deflections is a better representation of his ball skills.
Though he is generally disciplined in coverage, Thomas has a tendency to slightly overuse his hands (grabbing) during the rare instances when he loses his man during the route stem. In general, he has not received many PI (pass interference) penalties, but that may change at the next level.
As hard of a hitter as he may be, he still has work to do on his tackling. To his credit, he has made some technical improvements, such as wrapping and taking better angles. Even with this, his consistency in this aspect is questionable and needs more work.
