2024 Steelers Week 6 Fantasy Football Recap - "Action" Jackson and Harris Are Heating Up

Coming off a two-game losing streak, Steelers running back Najee Harris picked the perfect time to have his best game of the season.

- Offense -

Despite the criticism he faced before Week 6, Harris responded with a strong performance, finishing with 106 rushing yards on 14 carries and a touchdown in their big win over the Las Vegas Raiders. For his efforts, Harris moved up seven spots to No. 23 among running backs with 71.1 fantasy points. As for Jaylen Warren, he currently stands 66th among players at his position with 18.0 fantasy points.

Quarterback Justin Fields didn't have his best day in the air, but his mobility shone through as he finished the game with 145 passing yards, 59 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. Fields continues to be one of the hottest fantasy players on the Steelers, with his stock rising after each game. This week, he moved up three spots to 5th among quarterbacks with 113.3 fantasy points.

Fields' most reliable target in Week 6 was receiver George Pickens, who finished the contest with 53 receiving yards on just three receptions. With 59.3 fantasy points, Pickens moved down four spots to No. 42 among receivers. Calvin Austin III had the second-most targets and finished with two receptions for 36 yards. He currently sits 78th among players at his position with 32.7 fantasy points. The only other pass catcher worth mentioning is tight end Pat Freiermuth, who moved down one spot to No. 8 among tight ends with 51.4 fantasy points. He finished the game with 16 receiving yards on two receptions.

- Defense -

Leading the way for the Steelers on this side of the ball was cornerback Donte Jackson. In their win over the Raiders, Jackson collected his third interception of the season, along with a tackle and two pass deflections. After a strong showing, Jackson moved up 14 spots to No. 69 among defensive backs with 31.0 fantasy points.

When it comes to valuable defensive backs, DeShon Elliott should always be mentioned. In the team's Week 6 win, Elliott contributed six tackles and a fumble recovery. His ability to make timely plays has been key for the Steelers' defense so far this season, making him a must-have for any fantasy team. He moved up 10 spots to No. 8 among defensive backs with 49.0 fantasy points. All-Pro Minkah Fitzpatrick remains steady at No. 50 with 35.0 fantasy points.

Among the linebackers, Patrick Queen had easily his best game of the season with 13 tackles, one of them for a loss. Though he has not been mentioned much this season, his current standing at No. 43 with 38.0 fantasy points makes him an intriguing player to add to your fantasy team. Rookie Payton Wilson, who finished the game with six tackles (one for a loss), sits at 95th with 23.0 fantasy points.

The story on the defensive line was All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt, who jump-started the Steelers' defense with a timely forced fumble early in the game when the Raiders were threatening to score. He finished with five tackles, two tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. Make no mistake about it, Watt is one of the top defensive players in the NFL and currently sits 4th among linebackers with 65.7 fantasy points.

Lastly, the ageless wonder Cameron Heyward registered his third sack of the season, along with four tackles and two quarterback hits in their win over the Raiders. Despite a strong performance, he moved up only one spot to No. 12 among defensive linemen with 41.6 fantasy points.
