Well, it was certainly not a Merry Christmas for the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans in attendance.

To say the least, it was a game to forget as the team fell to the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 29-10 in front of a full-capacity crowd at Acrisure Stadium. With the loss, the Steelers fell to 11-6 and possibly opened the door for the Baltimore Ravens to take the AFC North.

In essence, this game was defined after the first four drives. After their first unsuccessful offensive drive, the Chiefs engineered an 8-play, 27-yard drive to take a quick 6-0 lead. On the ensuing offensive possession, the Chiefs methodically went down the field, and after 7 plays covering 79 yards, the team extended their lead to 13-0.

Making matters worse, Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson struggled mightily throughout much of the game, throwing an interception following the Chiefs' touchdown drive and five times in total. On defense, the team was thoroughly outcoached and dissected in the secondary, as they surrendered over 389 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. It was very clear from the outset that the team was nowhere near the level of the Chiefs.

The only notable performer for the Steelers was backup running back Jaylen Warren, who finished with 131 total yards of offense (71 rushing and 60 receiving). Tight end Pat Freiermuth also finished with a respectable 60 yards on eight receptions. Despite an overall disappointing game, running back Najee Harris finished with 74 rushing yards and reached the 1,000-yard plateau for a fourth consecutive season.

On defense, the team failed to produce any sacks or interceptions. Linebacker Alex Highsmith recorded a tackle for loss and a pass deflection, while linebacker Patrick Queen registered seven tackles in a losing effort.

The Steelers finish their season on January 5th against the Cincinnati Bengals.
