2024 Steelers Training Camp - Day 11 Recap

With less than three days remaining until the Steelers first preseason game, the team took the field this morning at St. Vincent College for another training camp session. Worth noting, both quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson took first-team reps during the morning walkthrough, likely an indication that Wilson is almost back to full health.

Today's training camp storylines include an activated run offense, a rising cornerback, and a connection that can't be beat

So, Steelers fans, let's go!

Steelers Camp Day 11 Recap

Steelers Run Offense In Full Effect

One of the main goals of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is to build a good run offense. This was demonstrated during one of the team's sessions today, with Jones and rookie Zach Frazier leading the way. In Frazier's instance, he's getting more comfortable with each session, demonstrating his mobility on zone runs and physically dominating the Steelers defense.

Field-Pickens Connection

A common refrain from this year's Steelers training camp has been Fields connecting with receiver George Pickens. No matter the session ("seven shots" or 11-v-11), Fields is somehow able to find Pickens open. Today was no exception as the two made big plays throughout.

Anthony Averett Making Plays

A name that has been trending as of late is cornerback Anthony Averett. In today's session, he recorded an interception and a pass breakup. His camp stock is rising with each passing practice.
